So I found out there were some hardware issues with my Server, so I’ll be returning it to the company I bought it from for a replacement, so I’ll be without this puppy for a couple weeks which kinda upsets me, turns out there was something wrong with my raid card where sometimes it would connect to the motherboard and detect my drives, aaaand sometimes not. so that’ll be happening. 
My PowerEdge T410 does that, but it was free so I can’t complain.
Not sure if this helps, but i had an old server with raid card that had issues (battery, etc).
My simple solution was remove the raid card which also removes the ability to do more than RAID 1. But with an older server i didn’t mind so much as the server can still do RAID 0 & 1 without the raid card.
If RAID 5 or higher is your aim then this won’t help 
Yeah I tried everything I could think of but SavemyServer just wants me to return it, guess I have to haha
My T410 is used just as a Lab, so that’s what I’ll doing tonight or within the next couple days. (I’ll probably record it just because).
Could it be a firmware issue that would be causing that?
I’ve already tried updating the firmware, I’m not sure what it is, between the backplane, wires, raid card… So I’m just going to remove all the above, if it still happens then clearly its a HDD but, who knows.
Gotta love when you grabbed a e SATA cable thinking it was a SATA cable…
I ordered some SATA cables, so I can hopefully re-shoot this video, or at least edit it together in a way that doesn’t make me look completely clueless.
